Plague Doctor Final Portrait

Well, here is the finalized portrait of the plague doctor for my media production arts course at Cerro Coso. We had two weeks to finish, took me about 5 or 6 days to do it spread out over those two weeks. The first couple of days were just done to music, then after that I watched the Sci Fi Channel presentation of Dune (3 DVD director's cut) all the way through twice and finished the portrait to Love Actually running in the background a good 3-4 times. Whenever I look at his shoulder I can see Dune running in my head, those blue eyes and the orange desert. Perhaps I'll do a Dune painting when I have more time .

Googled a ref for the eye area and the rest is from my head. Yay for fake wrinkles!

Photoshop CS3, default hard round brush set to pen pressure for opacity and size.
